When we’re after more LobyToe Candles for our Woolshed Store, we don’t have to go far…
Meet Becky, who lives right here at Palliser Ridge with our 2IC Lucien. Each Soy Candle is handmade and named after one of our farm blocks. Keep a look out for Becky at our next open day to learn more about the LobyToe brand.

Blue Moon Lavender With Lynette
Many of you will have received some of our gorgeous Blue Moon Lavender Oil or Lavender Water under the Christmas Tree this year, and we know you’ll love it.
Handmade across the river by our good friend Lynette, these handmade natural lavender products are an innovative way to freshen up linen, use as a face spritzer, or add to a bath before bedtime to ensure a relaxing nights sleep.
The Blue Moon products are just another way you can support local businesses in the South Wairarapa, and we’re excited to have Lynette and Blue Moon on board.
Palliser Ridge Preserves With Sarah
We’re excited to introduce our neighbour and good friend Sarah! Sarah has come on board with us to look after all things Palliser Ridge Preserves.
Our preserve range currently includes Feijoa and Peach Jellies, and we’re looking forward to bringing you more of Sarah’s goodies made with local produce in the future.
Palliser Ridge Hosts American Ambassador Scott Brown
In September 2017 the Palliser Ridge team welcomed Scott Brown and his wife Gail to the South Wairarapa of New Zealand.
Based in Wellington for the next 3 years as the American Ambassador to New Zealand, Scott and his team made the trip over the Rimutakas to spend the day with not only the Palliser Ridge team, but with James Parsons and George Thatam from Beef and Lamb New Zealand.
The group also included other officials from various areas of our industry, including the Meat Processing sector.
The day began with introductions and a BBQ lunch, where Kurt carefully cooked Palliser Ridge Lamb Rack and Paua Fritters for the group, accompanied by delicious salads from The Land Girl Coffee House in Pirinoa, 5 minutes down the road.
The visit was a great opportunity to provide the Ambassador and his team with a picture of how Sheep and Beef farming businesses operate on a day to day level, as well as an understanding of the how the beginning of this food cycle works, with significant amounts of New Zealand produced meat finding its way to American consumers.
Highlights of the day included views of the farm from “Lookout”, Clay-bird Shooting over the Haunui Dam, with the day finishing off with James and Kurt giving Scott a shearing lesson.
A great day had by all, we look forward to hosting you all again in the future.
Palliser Ridge Wool Is Here!
We’re excited to bring you our newest product, Palliser Ridge Lambs Wool. Naturally grown and taken from our latest lamb shear, the raw wool was scoured up in Hawkes Bay and then spun in Wellington at Woolyards before returning back to the Farm where it all began.
Our first batch of Lambs Wool is available in ‘Natural’ colour and comes on a 1.25kg cone. It’s 8 ply, which is extremely versatile for your next knitting project. Our wool cones are available for purchase via our website or Facebook, or email through to Lisa for any ordering queries.
Massey Vet Students Visit Palliser Ridge
This year Palliser Ridge plays host to not one, but three second year Vet Students from Massey University in Palmerston North.
Jonathan, Nick and Audrey will spend two weeks in total with us, learning more about our Farm Operation and getting hands on animal experience as well.
Great to have them all on board and we wish them well in their future study.
TriLamb Young Leaders 2017 US Tour
June has seen our Farm Manager Kurt reprise his role of TriLamb Young Leader and head over for the US leg of the Tour.
It was the Young Leaders from New Zealand and Australia’s turn to experience the hospitality of their American counterparts, with two weeks packed full of Farm Tours, and absorbing as much of the American Lamb Culture as possible.
Check out the TriLamb Gallery to see more of what the group were up to.
