Welcome to the Palliser Ridge Farm Experience, in the South Wairarapa of New Zealand.
Our Sheep and Beef Station has so much to share, and the Farm Experience is the perfect choice of tour for the couple or group who really want to see it all!
Your Farm Experience will begin by meeting our team at the Palliser Ridge Woolshed, down Te Rata Road in Pirinoa. Starting with a cup of tea and housekeeping, you’ll then get to hear a little about how our Farm operates, who does what, and what it is that’s going on at Palliser Ridge on a daily basis.
From there, you’ll head over the farm up to the “Lookout”, with panoramic views of the Cook Strait and the South Island, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got your camera for this stop.
Next on your tour will be an opportunity to see the work dogs in action as they complete a stock shift. Our clever canines are always a highlight for many of our farm guests and, yes they pose for pictures too.
As you take in our scenery heading back to the main Woolshed you’ll stop in to check on the bee hives, and taste a little of the honey they produce for us.
Lastly, no tour would be complete without one of our sheep shearing demonstrations. You’ll be shown how the shearing process takes place, and learn more about our wool and what it’s used for once it leaves our farm.
